Peach Habanero Barbecue Sauce

Ingredients:
  • 2 habanero peppers, stems and seeds removed
  • 1 large shallot, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1/4 cup stone ground mustard
  • 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons grated fresh ginger
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 pounds peaches, peeled and pitted
  • 1/3 cup agave nectar
  • Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
  1. Heat butter in a medium saucepan over low heat. Stir in habanero and shallot, simmer on low until soft. Raise heat to medium and stir in mustard, Worcestershire, ginger and water. Once liquid boils, stir in peaches and agave, reduce heat back to low, cover and simmer 25-30 more minutes.
  2. In a blender with pour spout lid removed, puree mixture until smooth. Add additional water as necessary to make sauce pourable.
  3. Great accompaniment to your favorite Certified Angus Beef ® smoked beef recipe like brisket, beef sausage or back ribs.
